Another year over...a new one just begun!

First of all, happy New Year!! I hope you are all enjoying a fabulous end to 2010 and kicking off an excellent 2011 :)

I haven't had a lot of time to really ponder my resolutions this year - it's been a whirlwind of friends and family and fun. However, I love them and there are some that have been on my list for a while. I would be happy to share them with you. As long as you promise not to judge me for my OCD.

In 2011, I will:

Running
-run a 4:00 marathon
-raise another $6,000 for diabetes research & run the Istanbul marathon
-run my first ultra...on a trail!
-finish my first multi-day, multi-stage race
-shave 10s off my mile (from 9 to 8:50 ish)

Triathlon
-complete 4 sprints
-finish 1 olympic
-swim 3x a week (my ultimate goal is getting more comfortable in the water)
-give my bike triathlon upgrades (specifically clipless pedals and aerobars)

Other Fitness
-do 13 consecutive pull-ups
-do 33 consecutive sit-ups
-do 15 consecutive deep dips (triceps! I want 'em!)
-curl 15 lbs
-do yoga once a week
-do bootcamp for the first time
-finish p90x
-try 3 new fitness classes/sports
-LOG MY FITNESS! (this one gets all caps because I am so terrible at it. I love other people's milage measurements - but I have not even a ballpark estimate for mine. I started daily mile...then forgot about it.  But 2011 will be the year I get on the ball. For sure)

Health
-limit my Starbucks to once a week
-eat clean
-take my vitamins everyday
-drink 4L water daily
-eat protein with every meal
-get regular checkups
-kick my chocolate addiction (just to prove that I'm in charge...not the ovations or almond kisses)

Life
-daily blog posts
-get a job I love
-pitch stories to 10 different magazines (aka get more freelancing)
-meet more people where I live
-take my camera out at least once a month
-stay in touch with the people I love more often
-get my global Tesol certification
-adopt a puppy

Thanks for reading my blog this year  - you guys rock!! :)

  3. Carrie! I have the BEST clean eating recipe for you. I can generally eat clean but repeatedly fail when it comes to sweets (refined sugar isn't allowed...sigh). The recipe is for chocolate cookies, and you'd never know they're 'clean'. I'll send it to you instead of assault your wall with it. :)
