Today's a two-fer!

Contrary to how it may seem, considering the fact that I'm blogging at 9 pm on a Friday night, I'm having a pretty swell day!

I find sunlight extremely motivational. I am sure I am not unique in this - I'm sure in fact that there is a legion of fair weather runners out there - but there is something about the sun's rays that make me want to do more, push harder, go longer. Today I kicked my butt out the door into a cold, windy and grey day - but I was rewarded with some sun at what was originally supposed to be the end of my run and ended up being more like the middle. Sunspiration.

Don't worry, I wore a jacket and mitts too!

I got back home and decided to do yoga (also in the sun). Ahhh. Talk about a great combo.

Within the past 24 hours, I have also talked to the majority of my family members via skype! I'm feeling awfully lucky to have such great peeps in my life. My bff is with family in person this weekend, but I'm distracted from major missings or envy because I've been trusted with Operation Eat All The Groceries. So far, so good, in case you were curious!

I'd also like to do a bit of a follow Friday here, unconventional as that might be. Who am I to tell you what to read?  Just someone who has discovered some awesome blogs, that's all! If I could only pick three, I would highly recommend you check out:

1) I just discovered this cool woman's blog today. Am totally fascinated by her career and love her dog and mad endurance skills. But this post made me laugh until I literally cried. (Fab find courtesy of another awesome blog, btw - Adventures of An Average Athlete!)

2) If you're a running blogger, you already read her. But Janae is my hero and her blog Hungry Runner Girl wins the highly coveted Carrie's choice award for awesomeness. Even if you don't run, you should read.

3) On a non-running note, my friend Janelle is doing a 365 challenge here. She's an amazing photographer, a terrific mom and a heartbreaking story to tell that will move and motivate you.
